-Some Other Time (composed and-- some suspect-- sung by Yoko Kanno) -Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (OST 1) Tabbed by James Duffy (eldufo@hotmail.com) Ths is possibly my favourite song from all three of the wonderful GITS:SAC OSTs. It's ethereal, powerful, ghostly and sort of sexy. It's also pretty simple, but has some awkward timing that's difficult to convey through text, so you'll have to just listen to the track. The song does rely heavily on its bassline-- other than the chorus, the guitar does little more than add beautiful loveliness over the top. Because of this, I've tabbed both the bass and the two guitar parts. Additionally, through the whole of the song, there's a nice atmospheric synth in the background (it's the first thing you hear in the song).
